Class Overview

This is a kids [child and baby focused] first aid CPR class designed for parents, expecting parents, grandparents, in fact anyone involved in the care of young babies or children (birth - 8 years), recommended by Westmead Private Hospital for their post natal mums.

If you are a pre or post natal mum attending Westmead Private Hospital Maternity, you absolutely should take advantage of this class. However if not - that's OK because EVERYONE is welcome! This will be a comprehensive CPR & First Aid class, where you will learn how to remain calm in an emergency and have the confidence to help your little one when they need you most.

The class is designed for parents, expecting parents, grandparents, family members, in fact anyone who is or will be involved in the care of young babies or children (birth - 8 years). 

You will learn how to perform life saving CPR & first aid skills for the most common baby and child related emergencies such as choking, drowning, burns, temperatures, febrile convulsions, seizures, falls, head injuries, broken bones, poisoning, bites & stings, allergies & anaphylaxis and more.


The class is presented as a ‘hands on’ practical workshop where you will have ample opportunity to practice CPR & first aid skills on state of the art manikins. You will leave with the confidence to act quickly and calmly in an emergency until help arrives, as a result you could save the life of your baby or child.
